Family Vacation to Maui!!

Dave and I decided that for our family vacation this year we would take the kids to Maui.  Dave and I had so much fun when we went last year, we wanted the kids to experience the fun and beauty of Maui. :)  The kids were so excited!  They didn't even care that Christmas would be really small so that we could go on this awesome family vacation.  We hit different beaches every day.  The kids loved the ocean and the beach!  They never got bored.  We went whale watching.  We built sandcastles and even a sand turtle. We watched surfers from a lookout point.  We went on a couple of hikes, and brought home sand from a black sand beach, a salt and pepper sand beach and a red sand beach.  So cool!  We boogie boarded every day.  What a great family vacation!

With boating at Utah Lake as much as we could in between!  And now we are into October!  It's hard to believe there are only three more months until the new year!  Our family has been so blessed to be able to spend so much time together doing the things we love!  I love being with my family and friends that's what it's really about!  Spending time with the people you love, having fun! :)  I will add pictures of the past 9 months soon! I'm still trying to get going on this blogging thing, so give me some time to get it together. :)

In February, Dave and I were able to go to Maui for a week.  Halfway through the week Duane and Holly joined us!  What a fun trip!  We went boogie boarding a lot.  When Duane and Holly arrived we did a whale watching and snorkeling charter.  That was pretty cool.  The fish were amazing.  All the bright colors were so beautiful!  We saw so many whales!  It was amazing!  We also saw dolphins and sea turtles.

Wow, it's been a long time since I've visited my own blog! :) I thought it was time for an update. This year has gone by so fast! Our busiest time was definitely the summertime. We went to Lake Powell as a family three times. Dave went on his guys only trip. Then two weeks after that Dave and I went back for our much needed couples only trip. I really love Lake Powell. It is definitely one of the most beautiful places I've seen!

We went to Utah Lake between Lake Powell trips as much as we possibly could. Ariana learned to wakeboard! We are so proud of her for finally giving in and trying it (sometimes peer pressure is a good thing!). She is now wishing she would have tried it a lot sooner than she did. Then Jamison decided to try it out and he got up as well! Of course when he tried it we didn't have the camera with us so I'll have to get pics of him next summer. I am so excited that they both like it as much as Dave and I do!
